The first blogpost on The Changalas is The About post. All to get you up to date on what is going to happen on this space, and in our lifes! Welcome!
There is a new year just started and with new years there is new beginnings. One of my projects is to start this blog about our little family. We are a family of four with dad Mayani from Zambia in Southern Africa and mum Jenny from Sweden in Northern Europe. Two daughters Alice and Sylvia 6 and 1 year old. Mum and dad met in Zambia in 2006 during an exchange programme during nursing school founded by SIDA and arranged by Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm and University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka.
After spending the last seven years in Sweden we are now planning a move to Zambia. Mayani is longing home, which is one reason to make the move, but also Sweden is cold and we are looking for a simpler life with more opportunities to choose what we want to do with our time. Me I dream of growing more of our own food and spending more time with my children. Mayani wants to work since he spent all the years in Sweden studying to become an engineer.
We have built a house in Lusaka so we will start there but Mayani is looking for jobs all over the country.
Our house in Lusaka
This blog will be about our journey. We will move for a trial period of 6 months first and then we will see if we have to come back or not. To see how it goes be sure to follow us here!
Happy reading!
